Shortbread Cookies
Makes 24 cookies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup pecan halves (optional)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
Directions
Cream the butter and sugar. Add flour and mix well. Refrigerate dough for at least 20 minutes. Form into 1-inch balls. Flatten slightly. Press a pecan half into each ball (optional). Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.
